Four steps to install.
This is an unpacked developer build, not a Chrome Web Store install. Download the ZIP once, unzip it, and load its folder in Chrome. Your pages and files still stay in the folder you choose.
Install the developer build
Choose the folder with the manifest.
Chrome cannot load the ZIP itself. Unzip it first, then select the folder shown below—not the ZIP and not this project’s source folder.
- 01Download and unzip
Download the developer ZIP, then double-click it to create an ordinary folder.
- 02Open Chrome extensions
Enter chrome://extensions in Chrome’s address bar and turn on Developer mode.
- 03Load the right folder
Choose Load unpacked, then select the unzipped folder that directly contains manifest.json.
- 04Pin Found and connect
Pin Found from Chrome’s extensions menu, open it on a normal webpage, and choose your Found folder.
In Chrome’s folder picker, stop here and click Select. Seeing manifest.json inside this folder means you have the correct level.
After loading, pin Found from the puzzle-piece menu. Click Found on a normal webpage, choose a local folder, and allow ongoing folder access when Chrome offers that choice. Then right-click a page, selection, or link to save it.
